Rehabilitation of Gulia Bridge in Tbilisi

The Gulia bridge was built in the 60s of the last century. For a long period of time, the bridge did not have any rehabilitation works, which is why it became urgent to carry out the restoration works of the damaged sections of the bridge and the water supply and sewerage on the bridge.

On the bridge and behind the retaining walls of the coastal piers of the bridge, a 26-26 m long arc. asphalt coating, curbs, concrete slabs on the bridge, deformation seams, damaged slabs of the coastal piers were removed from the sections of the communication chambers of the concrete structure. Fully amortized water supply and sewage networks were dismantled. Capital repair was carried out to all six monolithic channels of the bridge's Mali structure and 26-26-meter long outside the bridge concrete construction communication chambers.

New water and sewage pipes, high-voltage electric cables, various communication pipes and communication networks were installed in the repaired canals. The channel was covered with new iron - concrete anchors with slabs. Monolithic reinforced concrete slabs were installed on the bridge, sidewalks and sections of the bridge deck. The installed metal and cast-iron structures were cleaned of existing rust and dirt and painted with anti-corrosion paint. New lighting poles were installed on the bridge. Asphalt pavement was laid on the entire section.
